so here is a copy (of the man) in donato giancola's roberto benedicto(22.5" x 15", Oil on Paper on Panel). i did this just to explore what kind of colours one could use in painting flesh (which is why nothing else is copied.. aside from the fact that there's so much detail!)
done in painter9.

wow man.. looks just like it... uve deinitely got a knack for the digital painting.... keep em coming...
stay sexy
Your digital painting looks really good Cliff. =) I like how you really captured the likeness, and the skin tones look pretty good. ^^ My only critique would be how the skin looks a bit too plasticky. I'm not sure how to exactly describe it, but as having more of a airbrushed feel rather than a more organic one. I'm not sure if you mind me mentioning that. ^^;;
Anyhow~, Keep up the great work Cliff~~ ^^
thanks jinny.
i'd say thats because my brush is too smooth?? it's already got that feathery look to it but i would say thats probably why it's looking plasticky. skin has pores so it's never smooth, but to reproduce that in painter would be tough :S.. maybe i'll figure out a custom brush for it.
